More than 50 years of combined construction and remodeling experience, along with work in architectural design and engineering, interior design, and space planning.
That mix matters because homes change. Tax records, builder plans, and old appraisals may not reflect additions, conversions, finished spaces, or the current relationship between heated and unheated areas. A fresh field measure is intended to document the home as it stands.

Measure the exterior
Walls are generally measured corner to corner at the exterior finished face and recorded as closely as practical to a quarter inch or tenth of a foot.

Resolve interior conditions
Interior access helps separate finished and unfinished areas at garages and complex upper levels. Detailed work also records interior relationships and approximate features.

Reconcile the drawing
Perimeter and interior dimensions are checked as the plan is produced. Suspect data is reviewed, and an on-site revisit may be required.

Deliver the report
The completed plan is supplied as an 8.5 by 11 inch PDF in portrait or landscape orientation according to the plan configuration.
Quality and corrections
A questionable dimension is investigated, not hidden.
If the data will not reconcile, the report may be delayed while the records are reviewed or the property is revisited. Customers are asked to report suspected errors promptly so the concern can be reviewed and, when necessary, verified on site.
